“Quite simply, if it wasn’t for Sanderson & Co. we would not be in business now,” said George Page managing director of Manchester-based Carcoon.
Twelve years ago Mr. Page approached the firm wanting patent protection for his invention – an automobile storage system.
Carcoon is a plastic bubble that completely encapsulates the vehicle in its own mini environment; this protective system isolates the stored vehicle from the constantly changing temperatures and humidity of the ambient environment.
“We launched our product with a patent pending, however it quickly became apparent to me that the original patent application was poorly drafted and without proper professional help our patent could have failed.
“We contacted Sanderson & Co. on recommendation and they salvaged the patent and took it through to registration.
“Now 12 years on we have several registered patents around the world.
